I keep getting this error when I try to run the exe. I don't know what to do, I've tried downloading it both as the zip and as the installer.

Hey, guys, didn't work. I'm running Vista 32-Bit SP1, Core2 Duo (2.26GHZ), 3 gigs of RAM, my graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce 9600M (yeah, it's a laptop). I'd found the troubleshooting thing on my own; didn't help. The download didn't help either(unless I have to restart); thanks though.

Where did you download PCSX2 from? If you didn't get it from our site, remove it and install the one from our download section.
Also run this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...6652CD92A3&displaylang=en

Yes, I downloaded both the installer (and installed it), and then the zip file (and replaced all the files in the install location with those in the zip file).

Why did you do that? You only need either the archive or the installer. Just uninstall everything (don't forget to keep your BIOS files) then get the archive (zip) extract it wherever you want (preferably my documents so you won't have permission problems with Vista) and run it.
Ah also you must upgrade your Vista to Service Pack 2

Thanks, it started working after I uninstalled-reinstalled. Freaking weird...
