Pcsx2 Freezes whenever a key / button is pressed!

I'm running it on a Dell Inspiron 530 (upgraded memory to 4gigs of ram)
and I have tried 2 different ISO's that havent had any success aside from turning on and the intro starting but as soon as a key / button is pressed it freezes up but audio continues to play... I have tried it with 1.2.1 and 1.3.0 with no success. I am playing with a Dualshock 3 Sixaxis controller but it also freezes when i use my keyboard config as well. I'm very new to this so sorry if I leave anything important out! Thanks for your time!

EDIT: I actually dont believe it's freezing because I pressed a key- It might just be the intro to the game itself... I have DBZ Tenkaichi 3 which loads the intro but freezes and if you let it go through without pressing any buttons it starts to move on to the next scene in the intro but starts layering both screens and bugging out kinda going crazy and frames drop from 60 to 20ish... Also have Jack and Dexter the Precursor that doesnt start up at all. Did I get unlucky with bad ISO's or is there actually a problem? Getting a new ISO to test at the moment!

It's just a preconfigured 1.3.0 build... (That can't be the reason it's acting up though because i was having the same problem with the 1.2.1 build (had default settings)... Actually the 1.3.0 was better because I didnt have any sound on the default 1.2.1 lol xD

Okay, on the official version 1.2.1... going through config now, any solutions for my problem?

how did you create your ISO ? did you use imgburn as recommended ?
did you try software mode ?
did you try disabling cheats ?
did you try disabling widescreen hacks ?

Cheats are disabled. Widescreen is Disabled.
What is software mode?
