Pcsx2 running slow with good specs? Cant figure out why?
#1
Hi,
I was playing NFSU2 and during load up was getting 60fps maxed out but as soon as i started to race this would drop to 30fps then 14fps making the game unplayable.
I messed around with setting for the video pluggins and so fourth but received exact same results as default settings.
Any ideas why this is happening or any solutions?
Thanks

config>video>plugin settings.

Set 3 extra rendering threads

also, make sure you're using speedhacks like MTVU, and the ones marked as "recommended". You may also have to use the EE cyclerate hack as well.

With an i7 4-6 extra rendering threads will probably run even better.
You'll also want to see if mtvu(under config -> emulation -> speedhacks) helps like nobbs said.
