I've decided to try to get into PS2 emulation, purely to play Persona 4, but despite various tinkering, I cannot get this to run smoothly at a frame rate that doesn't have noticeably slowed audio. It wouldn't be so bad for me if it was even hovering around 50fps during fmvs and gameplay, since the audio wouldn't be driving me insane.
The system specs are as follows:
Mainboard: Asus P5B Premium Vista
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.20 GHz 3.21GHz
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4650 1Bb
RAM: 4GB DDR2
OS: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 [X86]
With the speed hacks[EE Cycle rate 2;VU Cycle Stealing 2, all but Enable FastCDVD ticked], on, things are as follows.
EE averages between 85-100%
FPS averages between 30-45fps during fmv and gameplay, always at max during menus [caps at 45 on main menu due to polygons].
GS does not exceed 15%.
Without, they are generally less. All other settings are left untouched, aside from setting it into DX10 Hardware, native ticked off.
Any takers with some pointers?
