Persistent crashing FFXII

Never fails, the same spot every-time. I get to the license tutorial with Vaan and the pcsx2-r4600 crashes instantly when I click to purchase a license for that arm band. I've tried 2 separate game iso's and both crash at the same spot.

Am I the only one that gets this?

you may have misdumped your DVD.
tried with the original (physical DVD) ?

The original works fine, its gotta be the dump or the way it was transferred. Well I just thought I would get some input if other people are having the same issue.
