Persona 3 FES (Japan) Cheats aren't working
#1
Hello. I'm playing the Japanese version of Persona 3 FES, the Independent Starting version which has both The Journey and The Answer included. I've created pnachs before and have met with success, but this time everything I try is failing. "Enable cheats" is ticked, I can see PCSX2 finding and loading the cheats as I load up the game with no error messages, but when I get into the game they just aren't working. I don't know if the codes aren't raw or not, I'm not sure how to tell, but they're all I've found and I've done quite a lot of searching.

These are what I'm trying to work with

Code:
gametitle=Persona 3 FES

//M
patch=1,EE,EC878530,extended,14850B78

//eXP x4
//patch=1,EE,1C8A4324,extended,3855E781
//patch=1,EE,1C8A4228,extended,0456E7A8
//patch=1,EE,1C8A422C,extended,1495D7AD

//Max Fool
//patch=1,EE,3C1602A6,extended,1456E79F

//Max Justice
//patch=1,EE,3C1602B5,extended,1456E79F

//Max academics
patch=1,EE,4C160294,extended,1456E404

I've tried many websites, but here's one I got them from if anyone wants to take a look http://kuroneko0.8.tool.ms/170/

It's in Japanese, so if you can't read it, just ctrl+F 経験値n倍 for the EXP code and 学力最大 for the academics code.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my wit's end.

Not sure how relevant it is, but I'm using PCSX2 1.2.1 (can't run 1.4.0 on Windows, I'm getting the 0xc00007b and can't get around it, but I did try the Linux version of 1.4.0, it works just fine, but the codes won't work in it either).

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I think you need to convert the cheats with Omniconvert to raw format:

Does the website say what format they're in?

That's Action Replay v1 encryption

Surprisingly enough, FlatOut, it doesn't. None of the sites I've found do.

Thanks, vsub, those are working. How can you tell what encryption they are? I figured they might not be raw, but I don't know how to tell. I did try some random conversions with Omniconvert to see if I could solve it that way, but I guess I didn't try AR v1.

I've seen how most of the encrypted codes look like and I can make a guess and since I can definitely recognize raw codes,I can tell if my guess on the encryption was correct or not
