Persona 3 bug - removing skills at level up

Been playing Persona 3 for a while with no problems at all except for occasional slowdown. Just recently I encountered an annoying bug. When a persona levels up and it learns a new skill, if it has too many skills learned already, I can't select which one to replace, or if I want to replace at all. The only pressable button is X, which replaces the first skill on the list with the just learned move.

Has anybody else encountered this bug, and if so how did you fix it, at all?

Solved by switching keyboard API to "Raw data" instead of "Windows messaging".
