Persona 4 Black Screen
#1
Hi all not sure if this is in the right place but, I have been playing Persona 4 from a disc for about two weeks and all of a sudden the game screen has turned black. I can successfully load the main menu and chose a save but once the save has loaded the screen is black, I can hear the character moving and the menus opening and closing but I cannot work out what is wrong and how to fix it.

Please show the emulog and post all non-default settings (for example using screenshots).

You were loading a savestate in that log. The savestate was made with a different bios.
There is a warning:
Code:
Warning: BIOS Version Mismatch, savestate may be unstable!

So this can be your problem. Reload the game without using savestates and see if it works.

Can you please show the emulog after you started a new game or loaded an existing game from the memcard using the ps2-load function?

I would start by making an image with IMGBurn of your disc and also install it in a different folder, windows 7 and 8 have a permission bug even in the users folder (Program Files is the 2nd), if you have a 2nd partition/harddrive install PCSX2 there or make it in the root of C, like C:\PCSX2.

Thanks I'll try that

I guess you have UAC enabled. Therefore pcsx2 is missing its writing rights.
I would suggest to put pcsx2 ver. 1.3.0 not into 'C:\Program Files (x86)\PCSX2 1.2.1\' but into something like 'C:\PCSX2 1.3.0\
