Close, but to make it easier, I recommend you post your non-default/modified settings, from plugins to emulation settings...

If you're using an ISO, then it should be better for you to use the built-in ISO loader...

Well, pcsx2 doesn't freeze, it just kinda stays at a certain point in the game. All the controls work (the triangle and circle work for sure), so I'm not really sure what to post. Nothing new shows up on the emulog.txt either.
