PhysX processing
Would it be possible for PhysX to aid in processing? Just wondering...

No. The PS2 games do their own physics processing and their own triangle/vertex logic. Due to their complex nature, we can't offload any of that on secondary APIs or hardware. We're stuck just running the PS2's MIPS instructions one-by-one on your main CPU.
