Playing NFS:MW the EE: is hovering between 90-100 ?
#1
and the GS: is hover between 50-60 this is with Pcsx2 1.2.1 at default settings. My fps is between 52-60 the game is mostly playable at native setting.

When I test the game at 1024x1024, and also test with 3x my the EE:/GS: they hover around pretty much the same as if I were ran them at native like before. Also my fps at 3x is the same as if I were running at native.

So if I can understand this correctly my GPU is great and it's not at fault. If I want to run the the game at a solid 60 fps or more I have to either upgrade my cpu or OC it even more correct ?

Have you tried using speedhacks?

This is the most obvious indicator to claim that:

So yes you are probably completely right. Still you can try to use speedhacks.

Which gsdx-plugin do you use?
Do you play from DVD or ISO?

I think that NfS-Games as most of the racing games are the most demanding games for pcsx2... But still with your cpu... that sounds strange

I'm finally back sorry, questions asked to me:

Have you tried using speedhacks? No I have not I wanted to exhaust other options first.

Well what's your VU Percentages? I replayed it I don't see where you see that ?

Which gsdx-plugin do you use? The default gsdx32-avx-r5875

Do you play from DVD or ISO? From the iso.

Like I said the game is playable most of the time but I'm used to having more overhead.

I've never had to use speedhacks before but I may to start. I've looked at the speedhack section and there two sliders and a couple of options at the bottom. Whats the best hack to use that will work pretty well most of the time and is pretty safe to use that don't have to many bad side effects. Is it still correct that more hacks you use more problems you can have ?

By the way is it possible that a hack can actually effect in game elements, like for example if you solve a puzzle a secret door which is suppose to open won't because the hack is affecting the game somehow or other strange in game oddities that will screw with the game ? thanks

turn the MTVU speedhack on, you would be a fool not to use it. It's compatible with about 90% of playable games, that's the only reason it's classed as a hack, because a few don't like it ;p

VU percentage is shown in the same place as EE and GS.

If he's not using speedhacks he isn't using MTVU, so he won't have a VU %

With the MTVU hack on both my EE & GS hover around 65 and the VU around 40-45. I can even run the game full speed no problem at 3x with plenty of headroom.

So do you think it's normal without the hack though I can't run the game at full FPS, this was my original question. thanks
