Thank you for the information. This is an item the people working on the psx2 emu. may want to look into. I would rather have one emu. that plays both, then two. Otherwise, there is really no point in me downloading this emu. I'll just play my ps2 games on my ps2.

its an item we have concidered, however it doesnt stop you downloading it and using it for your ps2 games, the only difference is you will need to get a ps1 emulator as well if you want to play your original playstation games.

Do you really switch back and forth between PSX and PS2 games fast enough that the fact that they aren't through the same emulator matters? Can't have two shortcuts, one to each emu?

But you've downloaded a PSX emulator, when you could just play your Playstation 1 games on your PS2. I don't get it.
In the end it's up to you, but it's asking a lot of the dev team to support two very distinct emulators when perfectly good alternatives exist.

No, no its not asking to much to make a few simple code changes here and there to allow ps1 games to run on a ps2 emulation. You assume coding is ungodly difficult.
I would play my ps1 games on my ps2, if i could. I own a 1 gen ps2. So old that it doesn't read ps1 games any more. I could just buy another ps2, however, i see no point in throwing my money away on an item i already own.
I know you will most likely not believe this, but I am a professional coder for 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15 93[\]15
One final question:
How do i shot web?

okay, if making ps1 games work on pcsx2 is so easy, you do it, instead of sounding like you are demanding us to do it and complaining that we havent because you are a professional coder and "you know how easy it is". If it was a 5 minute job, it would have been done a long long time ago.

Well there are just bits of code I guess, because when you run PS1 game console prints something like "Going to PS1 mode".
It would be nice to have PS1 backward compatibility, because Gsdx works as PS1 plugin already, but my guess is that It isn't on top of dev's priority list.

AFAIK PSone compatibility in PS2 was already a "sony homemade" PS1 emu.
Coding this inside pcsx2 would mean coding an emu into another emu.

just get psxfin , runs every game 100% constant
wouldnt u rather have the coders stick their time into improving pcsx2 instead of remaking something that allready exists and works well
