"Please update DirectX!"

I'm running this program on Vista Home Premium (God help me) as an administrator through XP SP2 compatibility. I use DirectX 10. I don't need any updates, and I know that it's PCSX2 0.9.6 (my own ignorance of its inner-workings is to blame). Why does it want me to "update" to a previous version of DirectX?

Furthermore, I get this little annoyance:

I'm trying to run a game from an original hard-copy of the game (Xenosaga II), so it's from a DVD drive; I configured it to load from E, which is the appropriate drive.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

you do need an update http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...6652CD92A3&displaylang=en

if it says only optional components available, get them, thats what you need
