Ehh.. That's Strange. I think the AVX Version is a bit buggy. I think it needs a fix.

I'm not sure but I don't think we currently have code to check for AVX compatibility.
You guys should just check which enhanced instructions set your CPU supports and select the right GSdx.dll accordingly.

So if pcsx2 doesn't have the code then why some cpu run avx and do not get that error while some get.

I got some news, after I installed Windows 7 SP1, GSDx32-AVX now works fine. I think Windows 7 doesn't have AVX library that's why PCSX2 hasn't detected AVX instructions; but other than SP1, AVX has been detected.

Oh right, that old problem once more. We've had it with Windows Vista as well, back then.

I am running windows7 32bit SP1 and I am the one getting the errors so I know thats not right ntq and on top of that you are running a sandy bridge cpu there as well which may make the difference.

Topken: Your CPU does not support AVX

Rama I am aware it doesnt and I was just pointing out that ntq is running a avx enabled cpu which is proably why its being propaly deteced for hima nd why the emulator is spitting out errors about it for me
