Potential Bug in PCSX2 1.4.0?
#1
I cannot switch games without a restart of the program.

For example, I play FFX for a little bit.  Hit shutdown, select my FFX-2 iso, and pcsx 1.4.0 crashes.

Restart PCSx2, ffx-2 plays just fine.  OK, now I switch to my kingdom hearts 2 iso (actually nrg), and it crashes again.

Restart, KH plays fine.  Shutdown the system, and start the game up again (never close pcsx2), game fires up just fine.  Switch back to my ffx iso, and bam.. locks up.

This is a default install, using iso's I made from my own disks.  Same bios that was working perfectly for my 1.2.0 install.

Anyone else able to verify this?

Running win 10 fully updated
Nvidia drivers are the most up to date
ASus GTX 750 ti oc card
fresh, clean PCSX2 1.4.0 install from .exe installer
Using the plugins that were installed with the program
No changes other than internal resolution (dx 11 HW), and enabling game fixes for ffx games (as you see in my list.. pretty much all I play, ff12 is also on the to play list... )

Don't use shutdown, just switch the image and click on the Reset button
I often see pcsx2 crashing while using ShutDown

I'd not heard of it, but I dont do much chatting on this board. I hadn't experienced any issues with using it in 1.2.1. If its a major known issue, and the system works without it, why not just remove the menu item during the massive update that just happened?

I don't know,I rarely use it because of this and some things don't work the way I want even if I use the option so I rust restart pcsx2.

For example:
1.You can't only change the image when you started a game at least once.Pcsx2 will always suggest to load it
2.This leads to...if you choose full/fast boot, every next game will run in that mode until you restart pcsx2(ShutDown don't help)
3.You can't just change the CDVD pluging after the first run,you are always forced to run something.

There were other reasons which I can't remember right now but "ShutDown" is definitely not what I'm expecting it to be(to act as restarting pcsx2 with close=>open the process)and thta's why I don't use it.
