If yes,try switching from Config=>Audio(SPU2)=>Plugin Settings=>Module=>choose direct sound

well everything appeared to work but once it starts running "pcsx2 has stopped working" not sure why....

Either because of the game you are playing or because you don't have any of the needed things installed(just some files)

You need to install(not copy=>paste from some other person PC)
"Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package" and the newest DirectX

provided you succeed in correcting VC++ & directx problem, you will have problems with setting pcsx2 anyways...

I guess this PC must have an admin account.
ask the admin to give you admin rights.
Or re-install windows and create an admin account, this time.
