Previously non-existent performance issues

Recently when i started the emulator it asked me to configure my plugins again. After i reconfigured the plugins i started my Persona 3 game. All my save files were deleted, however I was able to load a save state. Now while playing the game i can't get above 40 frames a second, while previously before the reconfigure it would hardly drop below 60. I am not sure what has happened to the program and would appreciate any help towards the matter.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.
