Primal problem

Hi! I need your help about the game "Primal".
I have the original cd and all run: I can start a new game, I can see the beginning video of the game, but when I have to start play the screen become all black except when I open the option window (start button). Why? it could be a graphyc settings problem?

please provide your full emulog. meanwhile , check whether pressing F9 solves the bug.
