Problem getting cheats to be recognised.

Im trying them on Dragon Quest VIII.  I found the forum post with pnach codes on this forum.  When I am in the game I go to Edit Cheats.  When it creates a file I copy and paste the code and I hit save.

^ for starters and simplicitity I am using this as an example.  That is all I have in the pnach file.  my file is named SLUS-21207_BC6F9003.pnach    which is what file was created when I hit "edit cheats".   When I hit reload cheats or patches it says cheats or patches could not be found.  I have double checked all my folders.  In settings I look at the path for cheats and it matches where the file is located.  and yes cheats have been enabled.  Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah removing the // was the problem. Well part of the problem. I had to also rename the file by removing the SLUS from the file but now its working. Thank you!
