Hi,

I had a similar problem : slow-motion from the start of the game (Shadow of the Colossus), I used Speedhacks (Setting VU Cycle Stealing to max (3)). Now the motion seems normal.
I had sound problems too ; they disapeared when I used Speedhacks (maybe problem synchronizing sound/video).

But I have a poor config (Opteron185 / 8800 GT / 3 Go RAM), maybe the problem is not the same.

it seems i have the same problem! as the game runs extremely slow at the beginning, then it boost to 150 fps in menus, then redrop to 2-3 fps when i launch a new party... And that occurs complete lag on my pc i can't do anything and i hardly could close the pcsx2 windows. This game is seriously buggy but i saw videos on youtube playing it well so i don't know what goes wrong.
