Problem with the pcsx2 0.9.6 for linux

yes the bios wll run by its self. it just crashes then i try to run an .iso

do i just need to rip the game dvd again?

Are you having the ISO mounted with any external program? That will cause crashes. Instead unmount the ISO file, select the Linuz ISO plugin and run the ISO file directly with it

no i'm not mounting it in an external program.

heres what i...

(on the tool bar) config>configure (make sure i was using Linuz ISO)
ok. then...
config>cddvdrom>seleted the .iso
run>execute and it just crashed

then i tried file>run iso image> selected the .iso> OK
it started the bios ran through the boot up and then crashed

not sure what to do at this point

I disabled the two memory cards because they were giving some problems, I used the controllers plugin Zeropad and I selected the Linux CD/DVD plugin

You don't have real hardware acceleration. Use only proprietary ATI or NVidia videodrivers and no Intell cards.
