save your memcards, delete pcsx2, reinstall it from scratch with latest git build

I noticed this issue too.
So I got the archive version and manually updated like I use to..
tho I really do like the automatic update system very much.

I have perms set to everyone for my emulator folders, so I avoid permissions issues..
so that is not the issue.
(PC Specs)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus PRIME X570-PRO (BIOS_r4602 [02/23/2023])

I just updated my PCSX2 with the auto updater and it worked perfectly fine. I wonder what's going on with your systems that you both encountered this problem. It's not widespread. But as jesavlvein said, you can manually download and install the latest versions until you sort it out. If you have the emulator located in your program files folder, I'd suggest moving it out of there
Windows 11 64 bit OS
Intel Core i7-10700
Geforce RTX 2060 6GB
32 GB DDR4 RAM

I have never used the ProgramFiles folders for emulator stuff..
I use dedicated folder on a separate HDD for all my emulators stuff...

i have the same issue, problem seems to be this file game_controller_db.txt

can we just not select and ignore that update and allow future updates rather than backing up mem cards ect, delete everything then install.

or at least figure why that is having issue, some like me probably couldnt be bothered to report it and hit skip this update, then i noticed it didnt skip the update it was still there and now there's more updates thats in the list.

i also never install emulators on my main windows drive.

I'm having the same problem.

It started this weekend... so I decided to skip the update and wait for a new one (today), but the problem persists.
