Problems in Fedora 32
#11
It appears in my system the library is in "/usr/lib/alsa", there's no folder called "alsa-lib", How can I change the folder in which PCSX2 search's for the audio library? I tried searching in the menus but couldn't find it.

Yes, sound does work on other applications, including pcsxr

It doesn't make a difference if I change my default speaker.

No, I don't have a menu to select the sound volume per application.

That seems to be a known problem with some systems, should be solveable, see e.g. here:

I can't thank you enough for your help, I can finally play PS2 games with audio in my laptop with Fedora.

To recapitulate, in case anyone finds this tread via google:

To run PCSX2 in Fedora on a laptop with NVIDIA Optimus:

Install the nividia drivers

Code:
sudo dnf install akmod-nvidia
sudo dnf install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-cuda #optional for cuda/nvdec/nvenc support

Install the 32 bit audio library

Code:
sudo dnf install alsa-plugins-pulseaudio.i686

To run PCSX2

Code:
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia PCSX2
