Problems running Gran Turismo 3
#1
Question
Hi all,

I'm a noob btw so pls dont hate on me for knowing basically nothing. I have a few games that have always run without crashing on various versions of PCSX2, and I just got Gran Turismo 3. When I run it from both full and fast boot I get this after the disclaimer thing:

Then this:

It allows me to press the 'ok' button to watch the intro video, which plays with perfect fps and sounds. But then I get this screen which is frozen, with no music and does not let me press anything:

Here's my specs and what happens when I load it.

Clearly something's going wrong as I don't get the TLB Miss error with any other games. I have tried disabling speedhacks, changing around graphics settings, changing bios... nothing so far has worked or changed anything.
I use PCSX2 1.2.1 but I tried all the same settings with PCSX2 1.4.1 and I got the exact same results. What am I doing wrong? Did I just break the iso file, in which case why is some stuff working at the start? Help pleease!  Wacko

Oh yeah and here are my gsdx settings, although I have fiddled with them and also tried changing to DirectX11/ hardware to sofwtare etc..

give your original physical DVD a try to see if it works this way
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

The computer I use PCSX2 on does not have a working dvd player which is why I only ever use isos... do you think that the iso could be the problem?

Yep I use ImgBurn. Hmm should I retry it? It's just that it takes me forever ugh...I wish it was just some issue I could fix easily with a hack or a change of settings. Wacko

yes.
retry, and make sure it won't show any error during the imaging process
