Processor quick question

well you wouldnt have to switch memory out. AM2 and 775 both use DDR2.

everything else you said would have to happen. Some OS installs can be moved over with no probs, but generally a chipset switch will want a reinstall.

E5200 is 2.5GHZ is better.. In everything.. lol

dont bag on his hardware...give constructive advice that he asked for. switching to anything intel would mean him upgrading his mobo as well.
and theres nothing wrong with the 9600, hes not even looking to upgrade it from what i can tell.

or was the goal of your comment to just belittle him?

arrogance is ugly.

No.. I meant. the performance increase from 4200 to 6000 isn't worth it, he can return under item not needed..

The 9600GT is fine..

i used to have the 9600gt and 6000+... speaking from experienece,,

Yeah, but your talking about a $300-$400 upgrade, having to switch out the Mobo, processor and the memory, plus also having to reinstall XP after switching set mobo out. it's too much of a hassle.
you could have got the x7750.

is that better than the 6000+?

Yes it is, the X2 6000 is based on the Athlon, windsor chip..

The X7750 is based on Phenom Kuma.
