Ps2 games from drive
#1
Hey guys first timer here so go easy. Is it possible to play actual ps2 games from my computer drive and pcsx2 will recognize it and let me play it.
The only reason why I'm asking this is because sometimes it seems like the fps changes a lot and I would like a consistent fps, and Idk if playing from the drive makes it consistent.
So if its possible can u guys tell me ty Smile

It's more reliable to play from Hard drive, in fact

But consistent fps depends on many things, like your pcsx2 config, your pc specs, the game you're trying to play, etc...

It is possible and recommended. It doesnt usually boost fps unless you have a really slow dvd reader. It will improve load times greatly tough. You can use imgburn to rip your disc to your hdd, then use linuz plugin or the internal iso loader(if using 9.7) to load the game.

GPU: GTX 560Ti 2Gb
