managed to reproduce this issue, seems to only affect all hardware mode renderers. I'll let you handle and push this bug report to GitHub Wink

be sure to use a format similar to the following (since the Git markdown format is entirely different compared to forums)

Code:
***PCSX2 versions used:*** pcsx2-v1.3.1-1256-gbbd74e5 (latest dev build)
***Emulation settings:*** "Safest" preset, no hacks.
***Plugins used:*** GSdx AVX2 using all renderers.
***Plugin settings:*** CRC Hack Level "None"

#### Description:
On hardware mode, when the thermal goggles are equipped, the obtained screen effect is broken and appears to be resource intensive; it seems like the last layer which shows the heat map is only shown minimized to the top left corner. The resolution of the corner also appears to be different from the rest of the screen. On software mode, it works as expected.

The following bug only exists on D3D9 , D3D11 , OGL (Hardware mode).  // haven't tested opencl (or) Null modes.

#### Hardware Specifications :-

###### CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
###### GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (Driver: NVIDIA 358.50)

## Screenshots:

OpenGL renderer. No character shadows and no scanline overlay.

We're supposed to be working as a team, if we aren't helping and suggesting things to each other, we aren't working as a team.

Just finished opening the issue on GitHub. It would be good if we could provide a markdown template that people reporting bugs could fill. It would save some trouble playing around with the markdown stuff.

I was also thinking about that, would be better to update the template thread here : http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Sticky-Ho...RE-posting

also, added the Issue link for you in the pushed moderator tool post.
