As far as I know PCSX currently supports triple core (congratulations development team). Are there any plans to integrate quad core support?
Once integrated, will the speed boost be significant to quad core users?

reasonable speed increases for quad core can be had when using software rendering
there are no current plans to thread out any computationally intensive tasks (that haven't already been done).

Far as I know, the major components that would see any benefit from threading have been threaded.

i imagine offloading system tasks and background applications to the fourth core is already doing a great job

Is this something new in version 1.0, or was this the case in earlier versions as well?

we have 4 threads ( cores ) AFAIK the EE , GS , VU , UI ( GUI ) ( but the GUI thread is reallly not active at all 0-4% activity )
we already have Quad core support

erm its in the cpu itself....
what i meant was pcsx2 would run off 1,2,3 and system off core 0

So the system automatically sets core affinities? It puts pcsx2 on cores 1,2,3, and the Operating system and everything else on core 4?
