Question regarding the Alt key
#1
Hi all, just registered here and would like to ask a question I haven't been able to find the answer to.

I just built an arcade machine and I'm using the default MAME keyboard layout with my buttons. The problem i'm running into is that my button encoder uses the left Alt key as a button. So when I map my triangle in PCSX2 to the alt key Im having issues in the PCSX2 emulator because its triggering the menu. Up top, like you press the alt key and underline the menu item to pull down. Is there a way from me to get this so the alt key does not trigger the menus in game? THanks in advanced for any assistance. Im using the new QT version BTW.

Its not a hot key withing PCSX its a Windows hotkey. I don't have a problem with binds.

Meaning, it's not a question to ask within the PCSX2 forums. It's a Windows question

So it's an acknowledged issue? Just don't bind to the alt key. Is that the final answer? Also, this issue only affects PCSX2 QT none of the other emulators or games I use have this issue, so that why I'm asking in this forum and therefore I think it's a perfectly reasonable question to ask in this forum.

One solution would be to let you hide that menu bar in PCSX2 QT.

programmatically, similar to the way you can hide the GS window when paused in the wxWidgets version.
