Questionable performance

if you're dead set on getting an AMD processor (you aren't simply upgrading just for PCSX2 are you?) you may be better off waiting a few months since AMD's new line of processors should be just over the horizon.

I am dead set on an AMD processor, the reason being is that my mobo currently supports AM2/AM2+/AM3 sockets and I don't feel like buying a new mobo when the current one I have supports the components I need to upgrade. I am not just updating my computer to just run PCSX2 by the way.

in that case you should look up the upgrades i said earlier. they are very good. X4 955 BE is amd's best in price/performance atm. skip the hexcores alltogther. they are useless for gaming

using best and performance in a sentence referring to an AMD cpu is a joke.
