a URL button would be good for some, but I personally wouldn't use it, I type out all the bbcodes by hand anyway

Less javascript to load etc.. If you plan to add a plugin for the quick reply, please ensure it has not significant impact on performance, while browsing the forum.

It would add to the load but as far as I know it will be so minor noone will notice. Still,that's why I'm waiting to see how many people will actually use it if I add it.

Ideally it would be user configurable, you could decide whether or not you had it activated in your userCP along with the other options.
Some people prefer a 'lightweight' forum experience. It's not something that would have to be mandatorily enforced on all users ;p
