Quick question about updating to latest dev builds
#1
Hi all,

I've been using an older version of a PCSX2 32 bit dev build for a while and noticed that more recent builds have switched to 64 bit.

My question: my current install is not portable and is currently stored in program files (x86). If I download the latest dev build (64 bit), can I simply copy / paste the new files over my existing install, even though it's currently in the program files (x86) folder? Will this simply covert it into the 64 bit version, despite its 32 bit location?

Apologies if this is a stupid question; I'm not sure how Windows 32 / 64 bit programs actually differ.

Thanks for your time.

no, make a brand new folder, preferably in a self-made dir (like c:\pcsx2)
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Thanks, I’ve done this now. All seems to be working well.
