Radiata Stories on Steam Deck
#1
Hi everyone, I'm trying to play Radiata Stories on Steam Deck but I'm getting massive frame drops and slowdown in certain areas, which is making the game nearly unplayable.

If anyone has suggestions for good settings to use specifically for this game to run smoothly on Steam Deck please help me out!

Here are some suggestions for good settings to use specifically for Radiata Stories to run smoothly on Steam Deck:

Graphics:
Resolution: 1280x800 (or lower if needed)
Texture filtering: Anisotropic 2x
Anti-aliasing: FXAA
Post-processing: Off
Shader cache: On
Gameplay:
Frame limiter: 30 FPS (or lower if needed)
VSync: On
Triple buffering: On
You may also want to try the following:

Enable dynamic resolution scaling: This will automatically adjust the resolution of the game to maintain a consistent frame rate.
Disable shader pre-compilation: This can improve performance in some games, but it may cause stuttering when the game first launches.
Use a different renderer: The default renderer in PCSX2 is OpenGL. If you're having performance problems, you can try switching to the Vulkan renderer.
If you're still having performance problems, you may need to experiment with different settings until you find a combination that works for you.

Here are some additional tips:

Make sure that your Steam Deck is up to date with the latest software updates.
Close any other applications that you're not using.
Try restarting your Steam Deck.
If you're using a custom kernel, make sure that it's compatible with PCSX2.
I hope this helps!
