Random Dualshock Inputs

This is my first go at using PCSX2 and I can't get my Dualshock to work properly. The moment I launch a game, the menu navigation goes berserk. The game behaves as if its receiving input from the direction pad and action buttons, simultaneously. This occurs even if the controller is disconnected. I'm running PCSX2 v1.7.5336 and am trying to play the 2003 Hulk.

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Thank you, MrWizard. That did the trick. My controller is labeled Dualshock 2, but the software recognizes it as a Dualshock 3. Odd, but it works.
