Random crashing on Kingdom Hearts 1
#1
Using version 1.0 of PCSX2, have tried both the AMX and SSE4 versions of GSDX. The issue that occurs is a random crash of PCSX2 when playing KH1 (NTSC, SLUS-20370). Doesn't seem to be any pattern as to when it happens. Only change I've made from default settings is switching MTVU on, which should be fine as I have 4 CPU cores. The following is posted in my Application event log:

Code:

Any ideas? While the game is running it goes like a dream, looks great and runs at 60fps without a sweat.

Run pcsx2 as administrator or install it in other drive or c: pcsx2 will also be fine !

Just the standard Windows "pcsx2-r5350.exe has stopped working" message, which logs the details in the Windows event log. It looks to be a gsdx issue of some sort as that's the faulting DLL, but I'm just not sure what to do to troubleshoot it. Here's my gsdx config:

Try using the latest SVN. Make sure your DirectX and VC Runtimes are up-to-date. Plus, having pcsx2 installed in the program files directory can be a problem so the SVN should help with that. If the SVN is too hardcore for you Tongue then use the 1.0.0 stable binary.

Try loading from a memory card save instead of a saved state

Thanks guys. I've reinstalled to C:\PCSX2 and set it to run as administrator so I'll see how it goes. If it continues to play up I'll give the latest SVN a shot. Usually try to stay away from them because they can be riddled with other problems but if I'm not having any luck with the stable release I'm not opposed to trying it Smile

Should have mentioned this occurs even when not using save states. Happened for the first time before I made a single save state.

Reinstalled in C:\PCXS2 and ran it as administrator. Seemed to be running fine, was playing for about an hour before it crashed again, same symptoms. I'll give the latest SVN a try tomorrow night and see if I have any more luck.
