Hey guys, I've been having some strange problems with P4. I'm just getting major drops in FPS randomly for half a second, causing a stutter, and it's starting to bother me. Does anybody have a recommended configuration that could help fix it?

CPU: Intel i5 2500k 4.5GHz
GPU: GTX 680 2GB
RAM: 16GB.

Are you running it from the dvd disc or an ISO image?

Try to atleast install PCSX2 on a different Partition or make a folder like C:\PCSX2, since Windows 7 has a permission bug with some programs if installed in Program Files Smile

That's pretty weird...can you check if you're getting speed stepped or the OC isn't that good? You could give it a try with stock clocks

My CPU is fine, have no problems with other emulators. I'm thinking it's just the settings I have for PCSX2.

other emulators may be really less demanding than pcsx2.
please have a look at what Bositman asked you
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
