Not seeing a huge performance increase, but it -is- running faster with 3 rendering cores. I'll try doing a bit of overclocking later (cooling in my computer sucks, so I'm hesitant to do any at all). Thanks for the help.

@Nobbs - The difference isn't that much. Your 4440 has a single thread performance of 1888. Mine is 1413 at stock, but 1680 @ my current speed(I literally JUST ran performance test to get that number). So your STP is 112% times mine. And again, I suspect 1 and 2 are more demanding.

Oh and also, I have 6 full cores, so my software threads aren't sharing with the main threads.

Yeah, still a 12% performance difference comes out to an extra 7.2fps. I'm not trying to brag about my cpu, as yours would probably beat mine in R&C 1 as it likes 4 extra threads.

There are a small number of cases where an AMD FX can outperform an Intel just by sheer number of cores. Maybe this is such a case. You are 12% faster per core, but 2 cores short.

I'm doing some benchmarking on my cpu. I probably didn't win the silicon lottery, but we will see when the benchmark is over

I was wrong again. STP = 1953

Well the STP on the site is an average of all the CPU of that type they tested. Many things like mobo quality could affect it. BTW let's not derail this thread any further.

That's true.
You're right, lets just leave this to helping the op from now on. Sorry for the derailing.
