Ratchet and clank 3 : up your arsenal problem

I don't know much about emulators so I apologize if any information is missing.

My PS2 broke but I still had my Ratchet and Clank : Up your Arsenal disc intact, so after some internet searching I installed pcsx2 and then inserted the disc into my computer. Everything was going fine until the Veldin loading page, at which point it froze. Does anyone know how to correct this?

I have an Asus 6850, and i7 clocked to 3.4Ghz and 8 gigs of ddr3 RAM.

I'm using version 0.9.6 and I'm using x2 cycle rate to make sure the game isn't in slow motion. Everything else should be default, I didn't change anything.

You must own your own ps2 in order to use pcsx2. Where did you get your bios anyway if your ps2 broke.
