I just wanted to make this clear that I didn't pirate any of my games, they're all physical store-bought versions.

Anyway, I have dumped my BIOS successfully using the PSX/Codebreaker exploit (which doesn't require usage of swapmagic). (Though, I needed uLaunchElf 4.12 for it to detect my USB Drive.)

No it isn't illegal,as long as you dump it from a ps2 console you own. Then,you own all rights to that bios image so you are perfectly legal as long as you own that ps2 console.
