Action, RPGs (With some kind of combat gameplay), arcade shooters, hack and slash games, games with great story or presentation, sandbox games, and horror games.

There really aren't many games with mipmapping problems.

I suggest you try reading some IGN reviews, that should give you an idea of what you can run. About mipmapping problem, there aren't many games that use this out there. And if you encounter it, you can still enjoy the game on your PS2.

Check out Shadow of Destiny. I usually don't like adventure games but Konami aced this one. Another game would be Trapt by Tecmo.

It's like all my favorite PS2 games use mipmapping, Spiderman 2 is now in the bin as well.

no other way than using software mode or your PS2 for this one.
