Sorry to keep asking for help with PCSX2, i'll be more helpful soon, i promise!
Anyway, PCSX2 crashes when i try to record with F12. Would any bad settings be causing this? the Codec selector is supposed to show up, but instead it just crashes. Any help would be much appreciated Biggrin

Use an application like Fraps instead. I've never used it in pcsx2, but I'm pretty sure it should work.

1.)there are 3 softwares for on-screen recording FRAPS,Camstudio or Hypercam..

2.)or a Camcorder that i'm currently using now for recording Canon Power Shot(Digital Elph) SD 200 w/ this one i don't need to worry on FPS slowdowns during recording....file size recording is 1 min=100MB

thanks for the answers guys, but i am aware of these softwares.
I kinda just need the PCSX2 Recording engine to work to get maximum quality and Perfect time with FPS, not to mention recording softwares dont look right. the framerate is too weird....
so, any help on how to get the actual PCSX2 recording thing to stop crashing? it works on my other PC so it must be a bad setting or something...

maybe it's some codec that isn't properly installed and it just crashes when any program tries to load it. Mellow

hmm yeah i was kinda suspecting that, i used to be able to record, and then i uninstalled some codecs...
thanks, i'll try re-installing some codecs see if i can get anything to work Laugh

I find that when I try to record form PCSX2 it all works but nothing is saved.

i've found that the only codecs that work for me are the mpeg1 and mpeg2 ones from the DirectShow section. Sad

try getting codes from www.free-codecs.com
