Reflective Surface Flickering in Persona 3 FES
#1
Hey there,

Started playing through P3 in PCSX2 1.4.0 and noticed that in the school, various reflective surfaces like windows and mirrors start to flicker rapidly when the camera is turned. Does this occur on PS2 hardware, and if it doesn't, does anyone know what could be causing it?

Here are my configurations (if you'd like to see others just let me know):

And here is a video of what I am talking about:

Any help is appreciated! Other than this and the minimap not appearing correctly, which is apparently a known issue, everything has been great so far.

Try the latest dev buidl here and see if it still occurs. - https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

Also what GPU do you have? If it's a Nvidia card, you should use OpenGL instead of DX11.

It is an Nvidia card, yes. A GTX 660Ti. I'll try OpenGL with the newest dev build and see if that changes anything.

Tried OpenGL with my current build and the issue persists. Downloading the dev build now.

Just tried Revision v1.5.0-dev-2284-g785fe6b2e with OpenGL and the issue still persists.

Does it also exist in OpenGL software?

Just tried it and it doesn't appear when using software. Found a YouTube video of someone who is apparently playing on PCSX2 and the issue doesn't seem to appear for him. He could be using software.

He turns the camera in the classroom and there seem to be no flickering.

I also want to note that I am not using any hacks like the widescreen hack which is known to cause some issues. I have "automatic gamefixes" enabled but that's it.
