Regarding problems running PCSX2 on my lap top.
#1
First Off,

I'm using a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

Processor: Intel ® Core™ i7 CPU Q720 @ 1.60 GHz 1.60 GHz
RAM : 6.00 GB
System : 64-bit Window 7 OS
Graphic Card : GeForce GT 320M
DirectX version 11.0

If I remember correctly these are things needed first to see if my Laptop is able to run PCSX2.

I used to be able to run most games smoothly or some games will be laggy. However, just recently, most games freeze after I alt tab and it's no longer running smoothly.

These games are Suikoden III, IV and Final Fantasy X.

Some advice on settings and configurations as well as guidance as I am a total noob. I've read the threads on how pcsx2 will run on lap top system requirements and guideline to configs but can't seem to get it to work correctly.

The current settings I'm using right now and doesn't seem to be working anymore is.

Graphics.
GSDx 890 (MSVC 15.00, SSE41) 0.1.14.
Sound
ZeroSPU2 0.4.4
Lily Pad 0.10.0 as controls
Cdvdrom:
Gigaherz's CDVD Plugin 0.7.0

Currently using
USA v2 14/06/2004 console (B I O S)

your GSdx version is phased-out,try 0.9.7

Suikoden 3,4 is a CPU,GPU demanding....try FFX 1st for a while.

that GeForce GT 320M is a early-entry(low-end) making it too weak for pcsx2 so don't expect full-speeds.

I always thought GeForce GT 320M was mid rated as a graphic card.

I did try 0.9.7 but it didn't work out as I couldn't even run it.

Do I just unpack it over all my older 0.9.6 pcsx2 files?

I've installed it into a new folder and copied all other necessary files in but it keeps saying the cdvd plug-in doesn't work. Why is that?

try other CDVD plug-in that are availble in the settings
e.g. CDVDolio,Linuz-ISO,Gigahertz.

if it still exists try install Visual C++ Redist 2008 and 2010 must install both x86 and x64 installers beacuase you have win7-x64

PCSX2 is more cpu dependent than a graphic card ... I think his GPU should do just fine ... also try to run in native resolution if you are unsure to reduce the graphics card work load.
GeForce GT320 ~ GeForce 8600 GT

also your pcsx2 seems very old, try the latest version 0.9.7 r3878

Using the native resolution seems to have slowed it down?

Ok I'm using the new PCSX2 0.9.7 now and everything is working fine, but still I heard about configuring the right/left analog stick using the mouse with the lilipad how does that work?

PCSX2 Is actually based on both GPU and CPU depending ON what setting you choose!
HaseoHamaki Has a strong Laptop built Even stronger than my pC... OUCH! and mine works fine and sometimes clocks at 100 % depending on the sprites or figures rendered on the screen.
