Resolved: [Bug Report] Emulator crash with game "Dakar 2"
#1
I've tried to play this game with the last Developpement release "v1.5.0-dev-3269-g014753894". The game crash before I can play. It is possible to go throught the introduction, the menu for the game and then the emulator crash (back to Windows).

With the official release 1.4 it is OK.

I've also try with the release "pcsx2-v1.5.0-dev-2267-gab44ebd7e-windows-x86" (28.01.2018) found on full list of builds page. The result is the same, crash at the same time.

Here is the log for the last release. I've keep all default options and plugin. I've run the game with the original ps2 disk,

Can you tell me where the game crashes for you exactly?

on pcsx2 1.5, did some testing. seems like only openGL hardware mode is affected. If you just load a regular race, pcsx2 will completely shutdown right before the race loads.

But its only affected if "automatic fixes" is enabled. for some reason, automatic fixes is conflicting with openGL hw mode.

But...if you disable autofixes, openGL hw mode seems to load fine.  But will require manual fixes for proper graphics (FpuNegDivHack). EETimingHack is also listed in the log as an gameDB autofix as well as 3 "patches"

What happens if you disable EE timing hack and add the other gamefixes manually?
