Requesting assistance with emulation settings ...

Hi - you can see screenshots of what my emulation settings are.  Except for the MTVU hack being checked, my settings are set to "default."

Is there anything else I can do with the settings to make my PS2 games run better?  I run everything in software mode (3 threads), and do not use hardware.

My specs are:

Intel i7 CPU 2600k at 3.5 GHz (stock speed; not overclocked)
8 GB of system RAM and a 2 GB Gigabyte AMD Radeon R7 370 video card
Windows 10 Home (latest version as of 2/10/16)

Any and all suggestions are welcome.  Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Should I use OpenGL or stay with DirectX 11 software mode?

P.P.S.: Should I not use the "preset" setting, or switch over to "3" ... ?

P.P.P.S.: I am using PCSX2 1.4 (stable version).

The best settings will depend on the game your're playing. I can tell you that 3 rendering threads is not always gonna be the sweet spot for your CPU. Some games run best with 6 for example.

I always recommend these settings to people. Under emulation settings set preset level 1 safest. Next untick the preset box to modyfy settings manually and under speedhacks tick both the mVU and MTVU boxes. Lastly reduce the EE by 33%.

Also try to use HW rendering if possible.
