Resident Evil 4 automatically downscales resolution in mid gameplay [Steam Deck]

Hello, I've been enjoying RE4 on Steam Deck and it runs absolutely fine, but I'm noticing that periodically during gameplay, I will get a notification in the top left of the screen that says something to the effect of "upscale filter switching to x1" and just today "switching to software renderer." I can fix it by going into the game's settings and manually resetting the internal resolution, but eventually, it always downscales me. 

Is there any setting to untick to prevent this from happening? All settings other than resolution (which I have set to 720p, x2 native) are stock. Latest build is being used. Thanks.
