There is already an FXAA filter you can turn on, most people don't like it because it smooths the image, to an extent.
Resolution scaling higher 8x (or custom resolution)

Felt I should reply here rather than create a new thread for the same topic.
For progressive games, 8x is plenty. For field-rendered games, 8x doesn't even hit 4k; you need 9x for 480i to actually hit 4k, closer to 10x if the source is 448i (which is more common as far as I can tell). It's for this reason that I've been looking for a way to go back to forcing higher than 8x again now that Ridge Racer V is in such a better state, but it (and every other field-rendered game) still has unsightly scaling artifacts on the Y axis at 8x. Beautiful on a smaller not-4k monitor, but could really use the extra push for 4k. Alternatively, if field-rendered game = true, double internal vertical resolution to compensate, then even 5x or 6x is plenty. |
