Resolved: [Bug Report] Enthusia Professional Racing [Pal]
#1
# PCSX2 version: v1.0.0 and SVN 5760 both tested.
# CPU options: All default settings and clamp configurations. Also syncronized MTGS both enabled and disabled. Tested without speedhacks.
# Plugins used: GSdx rev 5752 (hw and sw), GSnull, Zero GS 0.97.1, SPU2-X v2 rev 5761.
# Description: About one minute into the ending movie where the credits roll the game crashes. It happens always at same spot. Audio hangs causing an unpleasant repetitive noise. Only "skip mpeg" -hack fixes this but then there is naturally no video or song played. How to reproduce it: In the main menu, go to the library, then ending movie. You must have finished career mode. Memory card save is included as an attachment so you may try this yourself.

Pc specs: i7-3820 @ 4.6ghz, gtx 680, 16 gb ddr-2000, Windows 7 x64. Ask me anything that's helpful in solving this bug. I know it's no big deal since it's just an ending movie so take your timeRolleyes.

I tested this with v1.0.0 and with the latest v1.5.0 git revision, and this bug is still active. I've tried several possible solutions, but it keeps hanging about one minute into the video. Anyone know what could be causing/solve this?

@Flatout

could you generate an emulog with dev/verbose enabled on log window ?

IPU1 running when IPU1 DMA disabled! CHCR 0 QWC 0
#5
The intro movie runs perfectly, but I tested it to the end(it's very long) and it crashes afterwards too.
The ending movie might actually be separated from the credits running over the top of it, because the ending movie crashes just as the video in the background ends, and the credits are still running. So the issue is actually at the end of a video, not during it.

The ending movie shows "IPU1 running when IPU1 DMA disabled! CHCR 0 QWC 0" in the log when it starts, no other messages when the video is running. This message is not shown when the other videos of this game are running.

If you skip the ending movie the clamp mode is changed, though turning this automatic gamefix off, or changing the clamping mode manually, doesn't change anything.
"(GameDB) Changing EE/FPU clamp mode [mode=3]"

I searched for other ""IPU1 running when..." messages and found some similar issues, including one for Deadly Skies III(another Konami game):
forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-random-stuff-once-more?pid=303135
I've tested that game as well and while it does show "IPU1 running when IPU1 DMA disabled! CHCR 1 QWC 0", it played without issue.

Another similar freezing issue(solved by a hack?):

A lot of games say that, it isn't a bug, it's just draining the fifo after the dma has finished, but the way it's programed it still checks the dma and throws that message out

I realise that's not a bug, but it was the only message thrown near the ending video. So I looked into it, and surprisingly came up with 2 other games with video freezing issues throwing a similar message. So I thought I'd mentioned it.
