Resolved: [Bug Report] Final Fantasy X-2 [ALL REGION?]
#1
# PCSX2 version: MacBook Pro MacOS Ventura 13.3 Nightly Build v1.7.4260 (Monday, March 20th 2023) through the latest Nightly Build version v1.7.4342 (by the time I posted this)
# CPU options: All defaults, Enable MTVU, Enable VU1, Enable Fast CDVD
# Plugins used: Vulkan/Metal/Software renderer
# Description: Very early on new game after the CG intro, your party fight with fake Yuna. After defeating her, she will say "Sorry, no time for encore.". The screen supposedly turned to white & the next scenes occur, but instead PCSX2 suddenly shutting down.

To describe more in detail, my Final Fantasy X-2 (US) even the Japanese version of International Last Mission version have the same problem; the game suddenly shutting down after that scene.

I realized it wasn't like this before because I already passed that scene like normal way back, so I went down testing which Nightly Build starting this problem.

I finally found it, Final Fantasy X-2 all region crashed at the scene above starting with Nightly Build v1.7.4260 (Monday, March 20th 2023) through the current latest Nightly Build version v1.7.4342 (by the time I posted this).

Previous Nightly Build v1.7.4259 also at Monday, March 20th 2023 could play the game without problem.

So while I don't know when this problem will get fixed, I'll keep v1.7.4259 for my X-2 playthrough someday.

I'm sorry if I'm lacking in explanation or doing it wrong, I'm not that tech savvy unfortunately.

Thank you for reading & any help for this.

I think I know why it was crashing, I have a pull request which might fix it once it merges https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/pull/8586

Edit: Okay might be fixed now??
