Resolved: [Bug Report] Hot Wheels Velocity Maximum Justice (NTSC-U)
#1
Client used: Public Beta PCSX2 0.9.9 r4627

Specifications: 3326MB RAM (4GB), Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770, Intel Pentium XII Xeon Processor (4 cores - each clocked at 2.33Ghz), Microsoft Windows XP Professional (32-bit)

CPU options: All options are default. No speedhacks used.

Plugins: GSdx 4643 (SSE4), LilyPad r4484, SPU-X r4619, cdvdGigaherz r4488.

Description: Will get through all menus and cutscenes, but fails to load the actual 3D world that the player plays in. The screen will go black, and the FPS will freeze on the same number. CPU usage maxes out.

This seems to only get in game with SuperVU, but has tons of graphical glitches on both software and hardware mode, although it will run at 60 FPS.

Edit: Because I'm a weirdo, I somehow managed to get to an area where enemies are. When I got close to them, the game crashed. It could have been because they were using a special weapon or something, but I would have no idea.

Edit: I just tried ZeroGS in-game, and it only shows the HUD. The rest is a black screen, but that might be because my copy of ZeroGS might be outdated.

if you change it to microVU ingame Pcsx2 crashes instantly.

Well, I had shot a video called "Hotwheels 0.9.9", the only problem being is that it got saved as a .9 file and not a .avi file. I guess I'll try again in about 30 minutes and then upload a video of how far I can get until it crashes on SuperVU.

In the field we say "yeh that's ***** mate"

anything in the console when it looks like that if you turn on all the logging sources?

the almost same thing happens to Totally Spies : Totally Party where the characters and anything rendered in 3D are broken with sVU1 and crash with mVU1. But in addition it also has a mVU0 problem spamming:
microVU0: Cached Prog = [000] [PC=0000] [List=01] (Cache=0,000%) [0,0mb]
microVU0: Cached Prog = [001] [PC=0140] [List=01] (Cache=0,001%) [0,0mb]
microVU0: M-bit set!
microVU0: M-bit set!
microVU0: Cached Prog = [002] [PC=04c0] [List=01] (Cache=0,014%) [0,0mb]
microVU0 Warning: startPC = 0x2800, cycles = 0x1800
microVU0: Cached Prog = [003] [PC=0800] [List=01] (Cache=0,016%) [0,0mb]
microVU0: T-bit set! (spams this little)
microVU0: Prog Range Wrap [0800] [-1]
microVU0: Cached Prog = [004] [PC=0040] [List=01] (Cache=0,067%) [0,0mb]
microVU0 Warning: startPC = 0x2800, cycles = 0x1800 (infinite spam of this)

More testing on Hot Wheels VX reveals its a VU1 problem :
- microVU1 => hangs, crashes if changed ingame ;
- superVU1 => broken;
- Interpreter => hangs with extreme spam of GIFTAG warning, size exceeded VU memory size 3ff .

L.E: The only thing i got with logging was that GIFTAG error in Interpreter mode

Nothing different seems to appear in the main console once in-game, but I don't know if I have all of the logging options enabled, and I wouldn't know how to.
